The Power of Sales and Marketing Working Together
This is great for small businesses, and big companies with a modern approach, but in my sector the old players are still in the dark ages.
No new approaches or people sticking their head above the parapet and proclaiming new ideas.
The marketing dept. would be too frightened about having staff cut back if they got help from sales.
Not long ago a senior manager came up with a way to increase sales but it needed investment. Response from CEO was, 'How much can I put the targets up if I spend money on this?'
No new ideas since then and sales teams still not hitting targets.
