Telephone sales and appointment skills

Telephone sales skills for appointment setting, sales cold calling, and telemarketing, on how to get past first objections by disguising your reason for calling.

Free telemarketing and sales appointment making tips on how to inoculate your calls against those first objections that stop your call. Give your telesales and sales appointment calls a new angle that will grab the listeners interest and not get the usual negative reaction to just another sales call.

Do you get illogical sales objections at the start of your sales appointment or telesales calls?

For example: Iím not interested, even though you havenít given enough information for the listener to make a decision on whether theyíre interested or not.

I know this can be really depressing when youíre making calls. You have to make the next call full of positivity and stay motivated. But eventually a stream of illogical sales objections that donít give you a chance to make your sales pitch will wear down even the toughest sales person.

Give the listener a reason to listen

By disguising your telesales call and giving it a new angle you can give the listener a reason to listen.

Think about it: A sales call is seen as wanting a benefit for the caller and their company, not for the person receiving the call.

So turn your call around and make it a call that gives a great incentive for the prospect to listen to you. Donít make sales calls. Make customer service calls, offers of free this or that calls, call and give free information and advice, but donít make sales or sales appointment calls.
