Handling appointment objections is a skill all sales people can benefit from using.
When I’m training sales people there are common objections that come up in all industries:
The customer wants to talk price, they are too busy, or simply not interested, and that’s before you have told them what the call is about.
...Doesn’t that make you want to say, ’What is it that you’re not interested in?’..
These common sales objections can be overcome, or even better you can inoculate your cold calls against them. There are some very simple telephone techniques that will stop these objections happening.
When they do arise make sure you are prepared and know how to handle appointment objections, because they stand in the way of you and an opportunity to earn commission or grow your business.
There is one really effective telephone technique where you use the objection as the reason why you are calling. This really doe work well. It takes all the steam out of the objection and makes it difficult for the buyer to do anything other than listen to what you have to say.
