Small business marketing tips on pricing

As a small business you might not have the buying power of the large corporate organisations.

This means you have to find marketing ideas to compete on price with your competitors.

Large companies that buy in bulk and sell in quantity can sell at lower prices. But as a small business you have the flexibility to package your products and services differently. This can be a unique selling point that attracts customers and increases sales.

By putting together bundles of products and services, some from different suppliers, you are offering value. And value is worth money to your customers. This is also a way of overcoming and handling price objections.

How to bundle sales packages

Using your experience in your field of business, look for the most common combinations of products and services your customers will want.

Something your competitors may not do is combine products from different suppliers together and then give a combined price.

When you market your small business sales in this way it can be difficult for your customers to compare prices.

These small business marketing ideas give the customer what they want.

They see it as your speciality, your unique selling point, and you can overcome cheap competition.

These sales techniques work for employed sales people as well

Even if you work as an employed sales person for a company that doesn’t offer these packages you can still use this sales technique.

Present your products as pre-priced bundles. Use your sales knowledge and experience to put together combinations of products and services your customers want.

Make the most effective use of any discounts you can offer when you price up these packages. Have the prices for each package at the ready. Even print your own price list of popular products bundled together.
