Prove You Are an Expert By Writing Articles

A really good way to attract prospects is to prove that you are an expert in your field.

One way to do that is to write articles and get them published online and be seen by prospects searching for information or reading related websites and blogs.

Now don’t be put off by the words expert or published.

I was and it meant I lost time before putting this prospecting technique into operation.

You might think that to be seen as an expert you need to be number one in the world when it comes to knowledge about your subject.

That’s not true, if you know enough about a product, a service, the marketplace, or the customers, you know enough to write interesting articles that people will want to see and you will become known as an expert.


When you are an expert people come to you for advice.

When people come to you for advice they are a potential customer.


I’m Seen as an expert – But I don’t think I am one

I’m seen by many people as an expert in sales and sales training. I’ve recently been featured on an article writing website in their Expert Showcase. That really brought in the customers, take a look it’s at Ezine Articles Expert Author Showcase.

I’m proud of my achievements and the status that others give me, but although others see me as an expert I don’t think of myself that way. I write my website and articles from my personal experience and what I see and hear every day in my job.

I’m sure there are people out there with qualifications in psychology and behavioural sciences and these are who I think of as experts. But people seem to want information learned from practice and experience.


Prospects come to you when you write articles

If you know enough to sell your products and services you know enough to write articles and get them published.

Getting your articles published online is really easy. When I started using the Ezine Articles site I made use of the tools and help and in no time at all I was getting noticed.

The articles were picked up and used by other websites and blogs and each one had a link back to my website. Prospects looking for information clicked through to my site and went on to buy sales training courses from the Sales and Training Solution Shop..

Lots of other opportunities came my way as a result of getting published.

I was asked to write guest articles for other sites.

I was contacted to discuss business ventures.

You should seriously think about writing articles to attract prospects as part of your sales plan.

There are many article sites online and I’ve found E-Zine Articles to be the one that suits me and gets me noticed.

If you’ve got a website or a blog it will also build up the number of links to your site and that will increase traffic and prospects.
